My client is one of the UK’s premier holiday companies that specialises in creating bespoke packages for their customers. They are now looking for a vibrant, enthusiastic individual to join their team based in their office centrally located in Newcastle upon Tyne.

 

Working as part of the office-based staff your role will be to provide sales and administrative support for their range of holidays, helping customers find their perfect trip. You could also have the opportunity to travel on trips and develop an understanding of the holidays so you must be a ‘people person’.

 

Role responsibilities:

  • Dealing with sales enquiries and customers queries
  • Driving sales through proactive activity
  • Processing bookings, finalising tours to ensure everything is in place
  • Following up on feedback post tour and assisting with development of tours, coordinating with overseas suppliers and UK organisations
  • General office administration
  • Maintaining and updating website information
  • Responding to and capturing details of new customers and enquiries by phone and email.
  • Process bookings, manage bookings on unconfirmed trips
  • Communicate with partner / supplier
  • Finalise trip with customer (letter, call, text) as well as partner, guides and suppliers
  • Follow up on feedback
  • Ensure all dates, prices, trip notes for new season are updated

 

Person specification:

While this role focuses on sales and customer service, you will be required to help out with all areas of the business, so you must be adaptable and able to work as part of a team, this is key. Other qualities my client is looking for:

  • Interested in travel UK wide as well as internationally (Covid permitting)
  • Good communication skills

  • IT literate
  • Confident and friendly phone manner
  • Expert in electronic sales and booking processes
  • Expert in generating sales
  • Can develop expert product knowledge quickly
  • Can develop knowledge of processes in other areas of the business
  • Able to work with a range of partners in different countries and cultures
