My client is one of the UK’s most popular manufacturers and approved installers of double-glazing windows, doors and conservatories and has been trading for over 50 years. The company has established an enviable reputation for high quality products and great customer service with a highly ethical and honest culture. They’re now seeking a fully experienced Installation & Technical Manager to join their team.
Role responsibilities:
- Managing the installation teams, surveyors and service engineers
- Improving productivity through on site and classroom training
- Prioritising site visits to improve operations, processes and identify training needs
- Managing the H&S function
- Keeping up to date with installation regulations and legislation
- Devising in house and external training courses, on site and classroom
- Be the company “technical” go-to person
- Accompany surveyors on complex surveys
- Achieve the installation teams’ weekly turnover and frame quantity targets
- Managing the company Quality Accreditations
- Conducting showroom and product training for sales staff and engineers
Essential candidate requirements:
- In-depth knowledge of the UK window and door industry
- In-depth technical knowledge of PVC-U, timber and aluminium windows and doors, and sealed units
- In-depth technical knowledge of conservatories
- In-depth knowledge of window, door & conservatories installations & surveys
- Management experience of installation personnel
- Good supplier knowledge
- Training of installation personnel in correct methods
- Training of office personnel in technical matters
- Up to date in H&S legislation
- Able to think outside the box to solve problems/ trouble shoot
- T proficient
- Good customer facing skills
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Great team player
- Excellent planning and organisation skills
- Be assertive and honest
- Great attention to detail
- Confident, self-motivated with a positive attitude and excellent leadership and planning skills
- Own vehicle and mobile phone required
