Our client is a well-established healthcare group that are committed to offering competitively priced, high quality nursing equipment which provide both the user and those devoted to their care, a complete solution. They offer a range of care home equipment including Profiling Beds, Pressure Area Care, Hoists and Slings, Bathing aids, Toileting Aids, Wheelchairs and Nursing Aids and more.

Due to continued growth, and major account wins with key players at the top end of the Care Home sector, they’re now looking to recruit an Account Manager to join their already thriving team. This is a full-time, permanent, office base role in Boldon.

 

Role overview:

These roles are specifically targeted at the smaller end of their client portfolio; primarily “single care home” customers, where the role holders will be responsible for developing and growing their market share and profitability. The successful candidates will be responsible for three key focus areas:

  • Account Management (40% of the role) – Nurturing and growth of a specific portfolio of existing customers, who currently purchase from them on a regular basis
  • New Business (40% of the role) – Implementation of focused campaigns to win back “lapsed” customers – care homes who have previously purchased from the client, but not placed an order in the last 12 months
  • Sales Support (20% of the role) – Focused support for the Key / National Account sales management team, executing specific, local contact and sales campaigns for their largest care home customers

 

Role responsibilities:

  • Serve as the office-based, day-to-day lead point of contact for dedicated customer portfolio
  • Build and maintain strong, long-lasting client relationships via telephone contact, email, and other remote / virtual methods
  • Account management for selected existing customers
  • Identification, qualification and closing of potential new business opportunities
  • Strive to meet and exceed sales targets and KPIs
  • Effective management and follow-up of inbound sales enquiries
  • Chase outstanding quotes and keep quotes list up to date
  • General sales administration as required
  • Assist in keeping CRM clean and up to date
  • Back-up support to external sales staff as and when required

 

Person specification:

  • Business to Business telephone sales experience is essential
  • Experience in the healthcare / care home sector is an advantage but not essential
  • Well-trained in modern sales and customer service skills and techniques
  • Comfortable in a fast-paced, target-driven environment
  • Driven to deliver a high volume of outbound sales calls every day
  • Can demonstrate previous success in beating personal and team sales targets
  • Highly organised, with excellent attention to detail
  • Strong IT skills – fluent in the use of Microsoft Office Suite (PowerPoint, Excel, Word and Outlook) and Salesforce or another common CRM platform
  • High degree of customer-orientation, strong customer service skills
  • Professional phone manner
  • Team player
  • Outgoing personality
